    It’s (Almost) Go Time

I just finished burning through Vagabonding: An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-Term World Travel by Rolf Potts. My hope was that this book would quash any remaining doubts I had about taking a leave of absence from work, aikido, and general everyday life here in my hometown. To that end, it succeeded. How exciting! I’m envious – wherever you go and whatever you do, it’ll be a great experience, I’m sure! Will you be back mid-July? We’ll be in VT for a hockey tournament and would love to stop in for a cuppa, if you’re open by then (or to see progress if you’re not)!

    Happy Belated Birthday, Blog

I totally missed the fact that I created this blog four years ago in April. It definitely took a hit when Twitter and other social networking fun, as well as other factors reared their ugly heads from time to time. However, I wanted to drop a quick thanks to all of my readers and you few commenters who’ve stuck with me and my blog. Apparently you find something funny, intriguing, useful or, at least, distracting about it.

    Movie Review: Iron Man 2

Yesterday I saw Iron Man 2. It was definitely worth the wait, but sadly, not as good as the first movie. Warning: definite spoilers follow, so if you haven’t seen it yet, you may want to abort reading now. (More …)

Peter, you pretty much summed up my feelings about it too. Yes the worst scene in a movie I’ve seen in a long time was the drunken ironman party scene. And yeah, the villian was not well thought out. I still couldn’t understand what made him impervious to the car smashing him against the wall when he wasn’t really armored up all that well.

A good movie, but like you say, not like the first one. Worth watching but not worth getting too hyped up about.

After sitting through all of those credits, I felt a little thor.
