Thank you for calling Microsoft, my name is Manju
July 31, 2008 on 11:14 am | In Personal, Techspeak |Actual phone conversation I just had:
MS: “Thank you for calling Microsoft, my name is Manju, may I have the first six numbers in the activation window?”
Me: “Hi, I have a volume licensing question.”
MS: <silence for a second> “Thank you for calling Microsoft, my name is Manju, may I have the first six numbers in the activation window?”
Me: “No, I don’t have that, I have a volume licensing ques–.”
MS: “Thank you for calling Microsoft, my name is Manju, may I have the first six numbers in the activation window?”
Me: “You’re kidding me, right?”
<I hang up>
<I call back>
MS: “Thank you for calling Microsoft, my name is Manju, are you calling to activate a product or with a volume licensing issue?”
From here the conversation went normally and I was able to request the keys that I needed to install XP.
