		<description>Don&#039;t forget the repeated &#039;egging&#039; of vehicles parked on Main Street overnight. I hope the security cameras can catch the winners responsible for that, as egging can lead to some seriously costly auto paint repairs.

It&#039;s not acceptable for downtown property and auto owners to have to risk property damage and expenses simply for trying to do business here. This is not the Bronx, or even Burlington. It&#039;s demoralizing. Many townspeople are coming together to improve the quality of the village&#039;s beautiful downtown, but sometimes it all feels like wasted effort when cars, buildings, benches and hanging baskets are destroyed. 

I believe the BBA and the BRI are now seeing some real traction in their efforts, and the tide is turning. Downtown is looking better than it has in years, and we now have not one but two excellent new eateries. 

Before more damage is done, let&#039;s come together and insist on a zero-tolerance vandalism policy, to include prosecution of the offenders. Suggestions for enforcement are greatly welcomed...</description>
